Official Charts has updated the Official Albums Chart Top 100 for the week of 29 May 2020 – 04 June 2020. Below are some of the highlights.
The 1975 debuts at the top spot with “Notes on a Conditional Form.” This is their fourth album overall, and also their fourth album that has hit number one on the Official Albums Chart. Meanwhile, the solo debut from international boy band sensation BTS’ Agust D starts its run at number seven. Other new chart entries this week include Tim Burgess’ “I Love The New Sky” at number 31, Badly Drawn Boy’s “Banana Skin Shoes” at number 34, and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Dedicated – Side B” at number 42.
On the same day as the release of her new album “Chromatica,” Lady Gaga sees her first album, 2008’s “The Fame,” re-enter the chart at number 45, making this its 182nd week overall. None of her subsequent albums are currently on the chart.
Taking a sizable drop this week is Post Malone’s “Hollywood’s Bleeding,” which is down four spots to number 19, as well as The Weeknd’s “After Hours,” down six spots to number 22. Keep a close watch on Ed Sheeran’s debut album, “Plus,” as it falls eight spots to number 98 on its 412th week on the chart. Bruno Mars’ debut, “Doo-Wops & Hooligans,” is also at risk of falling off the chart next week, as it is down three spots to number 100.
