Disneyland Paris Reopens Its Gates with Great Offers for the UK

Disneyland Paris Reopens Its Gates

It’s time for magic again! 2020 feels like an incredibly long year and most of us cannot wait for it to be over, right? With new travel guidelines flooding the news almost every day and the insecurity of where to go to, why not replace the madness of 2020 with dreams that will actually come true?

One of the most popular and famous theme parks in the world, Disneyland Paris, has reopened on 15 July after being closed for more than four months following the corona virus pandemic. The French theme park announced a reopening along with Disney’s Newport Bay Club Hotel and Disney Village. Other hotels and resorts will be opening at a later date. Whether you are considering a trip to the theme park or combining it with a stroll through the romantic streets of Paris, we have rounded up the most important information you will need for your trip.

Disneyland Paris is Europe’s most-visited theme park, bringing in more than 9.7 million visitors last year. The park is located in Marne-la-Vallée which is located about 45 minutes from the city centre by train and consists of 7 official Disney-themed hotels, different partner hotels, the Disney Village entertainment, the shopping district, Parc Disneyland and the Walt Disney Studios. A visit is worth it all year long, be it on a hot summer day or in the winter when you can also experience the charming Christmas atmosphere in the city. You might also consider to visit in the coming years as Disneyland Paris has big plans that involve Marvel, Star Wars and Frozen.

It is recommended to spend at least 3 days at Disneyland Paris as there is a lot to explore and the park has a lot of details. Be aware that in guidance from the French government and local health authorities, the resort has implemented safety measurements to keep their guests and staff members safe. This includes social distancing rules when queuing for attractions, limited attendance, reduced restaurant and ride seating capacity, enhanced cleaning measures and the mandatory wearing of face coverings for all employees and guests ages 11 and above. Playgrounds, character meet and greets and makeover experiences will be temporarily unavailable, and the traditional Disney Illumination parade also remains cancelled. In addition to these measurements every ticket holder is required to purchase tickets in advance and reserve a specific time to arrive at the park.

Worried these new rules will take the magic out of your experience? Fear not; by wearing a mask you will be a superhero just like Iron Man and Captain America! So, what are you waiting for? Get ready for the adventure of your lifetime – the perfect “walternative” to your cancelled 2020 plans!
