Songs are constantly entering and exiting music charts. Here is a chart update on some of your favourite Hot AC songs on the official UK Top 40 Singles Chart. There are seven new entries on the chart this week. Most notably, legendary singer/actor Michael Ball teamed up with Captain Tom Moore to make a straight-to-#1 hit with “You’ll Never Walk Alone”. Captain Tom Moore is a WWII veteran who is turning 100 years old, and the song is a charity single benefiting the NHS Chari

ties Together fund. Fellow charity single “Times Like These”, credited to Live Lounge All stars, makes its debut at #5. A song that will almost certainly see Hot AC success in the future is Sam Smith’s collaboration with Demi Lovato, “I’m Ready”. The song enters the UK Top 40 Singles Chart at #20. As for trends of songs on the chart prior to this week, Dua Lipa continues to be one of the UK’s biggest pop stars at the moment, although her latest hits falter this week. Her most successful song right now continues to be “Physical”, which is down two spots to #6, followed by “Don’t Start Now”, down three spots to #8. “Break Your Heart” slips out of the top 10, down two spots to #12. Harry Styles sees similar modest declines, with “Falling” down one spot to #16 and “Adore You” down four spots to #17. Keep a close watch on “If The World Was Ending” by newcomer JP Saxe and singer-songwriter Julia Michaels, as it jumps seven spots to #24 in its fourth week on the Top 40 Singles Chart. Meanwhile, Lewis Capaldi’s long-running hit “Someone You Loved” slips a spot to #37, and is at risk of ending its 66-week run on the chart next week.
